The project ” Research on improving the durability of disc harrows by plasma jet thermal coatings” proposes the development and improvement of the characteristics of use through thermal deposition of disc harrows, which are highly demanded in soil tillage operations. Using powders from the Oerlikon Metco catalog, intended to obtain superior wear and corrosion mechanical properties, it is expected to improve the durability of disc harrows. The project will be to create components that are much more resistant to the demands during operation and can lead to their reconditioning when the degree of wear exceeds the allowed limits, so that the durability and profitability of these components will increase and the maintenance costs will be significantly reduced. Within the project, plasma jet depositions will be carried out for disc harrows with three different types of powders (metallic and ceramic) and at three different thicknesses, depending on the stability of the experimental program and the number of passes of the spray gun. In this way, it is proposed to obtain an optimal variant with coverage properties. The project envisages the mobility of researchers from the two states (Ro-Med) for the exchange of experience, collaborations, and the dissemination of results in a reciprocal manner. Throughout the project, they will be published in specialized journals and it will be proposed to patent the technology with the best results.
